jamie bowie Death – amie Bowie (brought into the world 1 April 1989) is a Scottish olympic style events competitor who won a silver decoration at the 2014 IAAF World Indoor Championships as a component of the Great Britain 4 × 400m Relay.


He was conceived in Inverness and first partook in games at essential school.[1] He was with Inverness Harriers for a long time and was the primary individual from the club to win a world medal.[2]

He learned at Heriot Watt University, graduating with MA (Hons) in International Business Management and Languages degree and a victor of the Watt Club Medal for Languages in 2011.[3] After graduating he took on low maintenance work as a games advancement official in East Lothian.[4]

In the 2011 European Athletics U23 Championships, seeking the Great Britain group he won gold with the 4 × 400m relay.[5]

He ran in the 2013 World Championships in Athletics – Men’s 4 × 400 meters transfer, and the group ran a season’s best however completed fourth. UK Athletics chose him to get support from the World Class Performance Program for 2013–2014 on the grounds that they passed judgment on him to have Olympic potential.[6]

On 18 January 2014, while contending at the Scottish National Open in Glasgow he set an individual best of recorded 47.09 seconds, which was the second-quickest time for Scottish men’s indoor 400m.[7] On 15 February 2014, he brought down his own best for 400 Meters on an indoor track to 46.58 seconds, while contending at a British Athletics Grand Prix in Birmingham.[8] He was then chosen to run in the Great Britain 4 × 400m transfer group at the 2014 IAAF World Indoor Championships, running the third leg and winning a silver medal.[9] He at that point went to Florida for a month for some concentrated preparing before the Commonwealth Games.[10]

In August 2014, Bowie contended in the 4 × 400 m transfer for Scotland group in the xx Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.[1] The hand-off group completed fifth and set another Scottish record.[11]

In January 2015, in the main global match of the British Athletics indoor season he ran in the individual 400m, winning the race with a period of 47.38 seconds.[12]
